Dressage reins with stops feature small leather or rubber bumps along the rein at regular intervals. These stops help the rider maintain consistent hand placement and rein length, which is particularly useful for dressage where steady, even contact is essential.

Rein length depends on your discipline and horse size. Standard reins are approximately 137cm (54 inches), but pony reins are shorter and warmblood reins are longer. Dressage reins tend to be longer to accommodate the longer frame, while jumping reins may be shorter for easier folding.
