Full cheeks solve the classic Swales complaint before it's raised. The Swales concept - lever action with no neck pressure, working purely through the curb chain - has a known weakness for drifting; Jump'In's Full Cheek Swales arms fix the steering while leaving the clever part untouched.

How it works: like all Swales, leverage loads through the curb chain and mandibles only - Jump'In calls it the only lever-action bit that puts no pressure on the neck - so it works without the head-and-neck lock-in of a Pelham, ridden traditionally on a single rein pair with a curb chain. The full cheek arms add the lateral guidance the plain Swales format lacks: direction stays yours even mid-discussion.

Why we rate it: for the horse that needs jaw-level clarity but resents poll or neck engagement, the Swales format is a genuinely different tool, and this is the most controllable expression of it. Set the curb chain with real care - the entire action lives there. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel); rinse after each ride. See our full leverage bits range.
