Balance plus direction, in one: the Jump'In Full Cheek Gag combines the sliding gag action with full cheek arms, so the rebalancing work of the gag never costs control of the turn - Jump'In's own summary is 'combines balance and direction', and that's precisely the pitch of full cheek gag kit.

How it works: gag rings scale the lift-and-rebalance action (bigger rings, stronger action), while the full cheek arms guide the whole head for steering that stays intact even in the moments the gag engages. For young or crooked horses getting their first serious education in self-carriage, that combination is what keeps the training fair. Standard gag requirements: special cheekpieces, two reins, loops, or four reins.

Why we rate it: a better teacher than most gags specifically because of the cheeks - a horse that ducks behind or out through a shoulder gets a directional answer that doesn't depend on you pulling harder on the rein that's already loaded. Showjumping riders schooling four- and five-year-olds favour the format for that reason. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel); rinse the slides and arms after use.
