Choosing the Right Equifit Gear for Your Discipline
Different disciplines demand different qualities from your gear. For dressage riders, Equifit options prioritise clean lines and traditional styling. For jumping, the focus shifts to security, durability, and freedom of movement. And for everyday hacking and yard work, comfort and practicality lead the way.
The reality is that most Australian riders need kit that works across multiple contexts. A girth or boot set that looks right in the dressage arena or jumping ring but holds up to daily schooling. A saddle pad that is smart enough for competition but tough enough for everyday use. Equifit products are designed with this crossover in mind — quality that performs in the ring and lasts in the stable.
Sizing, Fit, and Material Guide
Getting the right fit makes all the difference. Getting the right fit makes all the difference for anatomical girths and horse boots. Check the size chart on each product page carefully and measure your horse before ordering — for girths, measure from girth groove to girth groove, and for boots, measure around the cannon bone. Trust exact measurements rather than standard size numbers.
Materials matter too. Equifit uses premium materials throughout the range — from leather goods to technical fabrics. Proper care extends the life of your investment. Clean leather goods with a soft brush and conditioner after each use. Wash technical fabrics on a gentle cycle and air dry. Store everything away from direct sunlight when not in use.
Care and Maintenance Tips
Quality equestrian gear is an investment, and proper care keeps it performing season after season. For leather girths and accessories from Equifit, clean with a damp cloth after riding and condition regularly with a quality leather conditioner. For T-Boots and technical fabrics, wipe clean or hand wash according to product instructions and air dry away from direct heat.
Taking five minutes after each ride to wipe down your girths, boots, and saddle accessories prevents sweat and dirt buildup, keeping materials supple and expanding the lifespan of your tack.

Best Equifit Products for Performance Riders
The anatomical girths are where Equifit really earns its reputation. The shaped design follows the horse's natural contours, reducing pressure on the sternum and allowing the ribcage to expand. For dressage riders, the short anatomical girths keep the bulk away from the elbow; for jumpers, the longer styles provide even pressure distribution without restricting the shoulder. Either way, horses go better in a girth that does not pinch.
The horse boots are equally impressive. Equifit's tendon boots and brushing boots are built for real protection — not just the appearance of it. The materials absorb impact, the fit stays secure through a full round, and the construction holds up to daily use. For eventers and show jumpers who need boots that will not rotate or slip, Equifit delivers.
The half pads are a smart choice for riders dealing with minor saddle fit issues. Rather than masking a poor fit, they provide targeted cushioning that can help distribute pressure more evenly across the back.
Why Equifit Has a Following Among Professionals
Equifit's reputation in the professional equestrian world is built on one thing: products that work as advertised. The brand collaborates with veterinarians and top riders to design gear that addresses real problems — pressure points, boot slippage, girth sensitivity. This is not marketing speak; the anatomical designs come from actual biomechanical research.
For Australian riders, having access to a brand that professional riders trust means you can buy with confidence. The girths, boots, and pads are the same products used at the top levels of the sport, just sized for everyday horses and budgets.
