Product FAQs
How do I measure my horse for a bridle?
You need four measurements: (1) headstall — from behind the ear, over the poll, to the other ear; (2) browband — around the forehead; (3) noseband — around the nose where it sits; (4) bit-to-bit — corner of mouth to corner of mouth over the poll. Most bridles come in Cob, Full, and Warmblood sizes.
What's the difference between a dressage and jumping bridle?
Dressage bridles typically have a flash noseband, larger browband, and longer cheekpieces for a refined look. Jumping bridles often have a drop or figure-8 noseband and are designed to stay secure over fences. The choice depends on your discipline and your horse's conformation.
How do I care for a leather bridle?
Wipe down after every ride with a damp cloth. Clean with leather soap weekly, then condition with leather oil or balm. Store hanging in a cool, dry place. Take apart and deep-clean monthly. Well-maintained leather bridles can last decades.
