The Jump'In D-Ring Curb Bit is for the horse that takes comfort from a steady, uniform cannon to work against. Its curved-round cannon gives the mouth a consistent surface to take tension on - no joint folding, no pinch across the centre - which Jump'In points out removes the pressure points a full bit or French mouth can create.

How it works: the fixed cannon design means the mouthpiece behaves as one continuous, unjointed unit: the horse leans into an even rail rather than a moving hinge. D cheeks (90 mm rings, chunky 17 mm cannons) deliver reliable directional support and can be stabilised further by running the cheekpieces through the ring passes. Despite the 'curb' name, this is direct action - no leverage, poll or chin pressure - it describes the mouthpiece only.

Why we rate it: one of the most underrated formats for mouths that hate joints. Older horses with bar sensitivities, or horses that gape when a bit collapses, often settle on an unjointed cannon. In German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel), it's built to be rinsed and used daily for years. Compare it against our other snaffle bits.

— Sizes: 125 mm (5 in) or 135 mm (5.25 in).
