The single-branch spring steel design of the SOFT'UP PRO+ stirrups acts as a suspension system, reducing the effort exerted on each stirrup by one third. This decreases pressure on the rider's joints and alleviates the horse's back. This advanced design, unique to FREEJUMP's single-branch stirrups, enhances not only comfort but also overall durability and performance.
The outer branch of the stirrup is made of Elastollan®, a flexible material that deforms and allows the branch to open, facilitating foot release in case of a fall.
Shock absorption and stability.
The SOFT'UP PRO+ stirrup features Freejump Shock Absorption technology thanks to its single-branch design. This guarantees optimum shock absorption and exceptional comfort.
Equipped with an extra-wide grip, the SOFT’UP PRO+ ensures comfort and stability. The super grip provides superior adhesion, reinforced by removable steel studs. The integration of fiberglass into the tread guarantees unparalleled longevity.
The SOFT’UP PRO+ stirrup offers an offset center of gravity that allows for a natural foot inclination and promotes heel-down positioning. The angled eye of the stirrup facilitates easy mounting with its 45° orientation.
Please note that FREEJUMP stirrups are not PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and cannot guarantee the rider’s complete safety.
Shock absorption
The single-branch design of the SOFT’UP PRO+ stirrup, made from high-strength tempered spring steel (1200 MPA), withstands the maximum stresses that a stirrup can encounter in terms of shock and fatigue.
The single-branch technology, combined with Elastollan® overmolding, reduces the effort on each stirrup by threefold, relieving the rider's joints and the horse's back. This guarantees optimum shock absorption and exceptional comfort.
The flexible Elastollan® outer branch of the SOFT’UP PRO+ is designed to facilitate foot release in case of a fall and can open under foot pressure.
Offset center of gravity
The offset center of gravity allows for a natural foot inclination and promotes heel-down positioning.
Angled eye
The angled eye of the SOFT’UP PRO+ provides true comfort and facilitates mounting with its 45° orientation. The eye angle offers additional comfort and follows the natural swing of the leg.

Are safety stirrups allowed in EA competition?
Yes — safety stirrups are permitted in all EA disciplines. In fact, many equestrian organisations now recommend them. The flexible arm or cage design helps prevent the foot from being trapped in the stirrup during a fall.
What size stirrup do I need?
Stirrup irons should be approximately 1-1.5cm wider than your boot at the widest point. Your foot should slide freely but not have excessive side-to-side movement. Most adult riders use 4.5 or 5 inch stirrups.
How do safety stirrups work?
Safety stirrups feature a flexible outer arm that releases under pressure during a fall, allowing the foot to exit the stirrup. Some designs use a cage or toe stopper instead. The mechanism reduces the risk of being dragged if you part company with your horse.
