Copper in a bit mouthpiece does something German Silver alone cannot: it warms quickly and encourages the horse to salivate and soften. The D-ring bit with copper from Jump'In balances that softening effect with a slightly firmer mouth shape.

How it works: the D-ring cheeks help create a frame and keep the horse focused, a good alternative to a full cheek bit. The ergonomic cannons sit closely against the mouth like a classic simple link, but they are thin and non-smooth, which makes this bit a little harder than a regular one.

Why we rate it: that combination is the point: more feel in the hand, while the copper content keeps the mouth relaxed and accepting. Stainless steel and copper construction, designed and field-tested in France. Rinse after every use.
