French mouth German 3 ring bit with high port
Take the progressive German 3-ring, then arch a high port over the tongue, and you have Jump'In's French Mouth German 3 Ring with High Port: soft leverage mechanics with maximal tongue accommodation built into the middle of the mouth.
How it works: the German stack delivers its slightly gentler, progressive gag action with anti-pinch construction, while the high port holds the mouthpiece clear above tongue and palate both - Jump'In links that to easier tongue placement, better breathing and steadier focus in work, plus a bit of free directional help. It rigs the standard three ways: fixed on the bottom ring, bit loops, or two pairs of reins.
Why we rate it: a favourite for the big-tongued horse moving up into leverage - most 3-ring mouthpieces squeeze the tongue flat at exactly the moment the lower rein engages, and this one simply doesn't. If your horse fussed in a plain 3-ring version, the port frequently changes the conversation in one school. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel). Rinse under the port and the ring joins after riding. Explore our leverage bits
