Most bits treat left and right as the same place. The Jump'In Double Cannon Bit doesn't - its asymmetrical cannons were designed for precisely the horse that works differently on each side of the mouth, the crookedness that shows up as a steady drift to one rein.

How it works: the two cannon-halves are deliberately asymmetrical, so the mouthpiece presents a subtly different feel left versus right, which Jump'In uses to help correct the balance between left and right hands and bring the horse back to even. Underneath, large flat rings carry the design with their customary strong direction and light lever effect, so the correction can happen without the rider nagging on the problematic rein.

Why we rate it: a genuinely problem-specific tool in a market full of one-shape bits, and it rewards a rider who has actually diagnosed the horse's crookedness rather than just noticed it. Pair it with flatwork focused on straightness and most horses come out visibly straighter within weeks. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel). Rinse the cannons asymmetrically, we joke; rinse everything, we mean it. More snaffle bits here.

— Sizes: 125 mm (5 in) or 135 mm (5.25 in).
