The horse that locks its jaw and leans benefits most from a mouthpiece that offers nothing to lock against, which is where the Jump'In Waterford Baucher earns its place. It pairs the Baucher cheek, with its light lever invitation to round up, and the multi-ball Waterford cannon that makes leaning physically awkward.

How it works: the cheek arms above the mouthpiece give the fixed, steady Baucher seat - the horse takes a better contact and settles into a better working attitude, per Jump'In. Underneath, the linked Waterford balls distribute and split contact points continuously, so a leaner never finds the rigid rail it's bracing for. The horse winds up lighter on the hand, with head and neck posture rebalancing accordingly.

Why we rate it: a convincing two-in-one: most anti-lean options add severity; this one adds instability for the lean instead, which is a smarter lesson. Horses that travel heavy in a Baucher but respect a Waterford on the flat will meet their match here. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel). Rinse thoroughly between the balls after each ride. Compare with more of our snaffle bits.
