Round pipe bit
The Jump'In Round Pipe Bit is the stripped-back version of a familiar formula: plain loose ring cheeks, and one rigid round cannon that makes the aid unmistakable. It's aimed at the experienced rider whose horse needs a definite response without any lever action creeping in.
How it works: a rigid pipe cannon can't fold, so it keeps a constant, even presence across the tongue and bars - the action is markedly stronger than a jointed model, purely through rigidity, with the loose rings ensuring nothing is amplified beyond the hand. No leverage, no curb chain, no pinch points.
Why we rate it: simple equipment that works well is underrated, and this is nothing if not simple. But the flip side is real: Jump'In says it doesn't fit every hand, and I'd underline that - it belongs with riders who close a fist only on purpose. For the right horse-and-rider pairing in flatwork or jumping it earns its keep. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel); rinse the pipe inside and out after use. Compare across our snaffle bits.
