Blue Steel has a following among riders whose horses dislike cold metal, because it warms to the mouth and keeps a layer of oxidation many horses find reassuring. Jump'In's Blue Steel Goyo Aga puts that alloy on one of its most useful cheek geometries.

How it works: the Goyo Aga produces a lowering effect that is more or less strong depending on where on the ring the rein is fixed and how the curb chain is tightened. The Blue Steel cannons adjust to the horse's mouth temperature and favour relaxation, which softens the whole conversation.

Why we rate it: it is perfect when the intention is not to make the horse fear the hand but to get a lighter contact and the horse holding itself a bit more in work. Rinse after each use to maintain a healthy patina rather than grime.
