Mac Genis German 3 ring bit
Anxious, heavy, leaning on the reins - the tense horse has met its match across the Mac Genis line, and the Jump'In Mac Genis German 3 Ring adds gag geometry to the formula. It's the 3-ring for riders who want progressive leverage rather than a sharp mechanical step.
How it works: the German 3-ring configuration delivers a gag action that Jump'In describes as progressive and slightly softer than a classic 3-ring, with construction shaped to avoid pinching at the usual friction points. Inside the mouth, squared cannons and free copper rollers give the tongue something to play with, easing the horse toward relaxation instead of bracing against the pressure it expects. Reins go fixed on the bottom ring, through bit loops, or on two pairs for a snaffle-plus-lever split.
Why we rate it: the softest entry into leverage kit we'd recommend for a genuinely nervous horse - the copper-play concept keeps the jaw busy while the German cheeks keep the leverage polite. Showjumpers schooling big, green horses use this exact combination for good reason. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel) with 100% copper rollers; clean the rollers after each ride.
