Gag action in bradoon form: the Jump'In Gag Bradoon combines the slim, mouth-efficient profile of a double-bridle snaffle with sliding rings that ask a horse to rebalance back onto its haunches. It's a specialist's tool with no padding on its message.

How it works: the gag cheeks slide through the rings under rein pressure, lifting the mouthpiece to encourage a rebalancing shift of weight onto the hindquarters; larger rings amplify the effect. The cannons are really thin - Jump'In warns plainly that the rider's hand must be precise - and it can be ridden with a Weymouth below or on a standard bridle with gag cheekpieces.

Why we rate it: like all gag equipment, this is for educated hands with an actual plan, and in the right ones it persuades a behind-the-leg or rooting horse to reorganize itself in a single schooling session. For everyone else we'd point to a plain bradoon first. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel). Needs dedicated gag cheekpieces; rinse the slides after riding. Browse our leverage bits.
