Full cheek Weymouth bit with high port
Long cheeks change the character of a Weymouth. In this Full Cheek Lhotte with high port, the extended bars amplify the lever action relative to the small-cheek version - the same fixed, classic Lhotte design, read louder. Jump'In is upfront that Weymouth strength depends mostly on cheek size, and this is the step up.
How it works: as a double-bridle curb used together with a bradoon, it works through the curb chain and ported cannon. The high port leaves generous room for tongue and bradoon alike, keeping the inside of the mouth comfortable while the long cheeks supply the stronger external lever. Fixed and unjointed like all Lhottes, so its action stays consistent stride after stride.
Why we rate it: this is the version for the established double-bridle horse that has begun to sit on the curb - more answer without changing the mouthpiece the mouth already knows. For an EA dressage horse moving up the levels, it's a logical progression. Keep the curb chain adjusted honestly; long cheeks punish lazy fitting. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel). Rinse after use. Compare our bridle accessories.
