Wilson bit with loose high port

For horses working at club or competition level that need both anti-bracing action and tongue comfort, the Jump'In Wilson Bit with Loose High Port combines the four-ring Wilson format with a tall central port. The result is a bit that manages leaners and fussers without putting pressure on the tongue or the palate.

How it works: the Wilson cheek arrangement - outer free rings to the cheekpieces, inner cannon rings to the reins - keeps the contact mobile so the horse can't lock onto a fixed brace point. The high port arches the mouthpiece up and over the tongue, leaving room for correct tongue placement, easier breathing and better focus during work, per Jump'In's own guidance, and it lends a hand with direction too.

Why we rate it: most anti-lean designs solve one problem by creating another - added strength that a sensitive tongue resents. This one addresses both sides at once, which is why it suits the complicated horse that leans and fusses in the same session. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel). Rinse the port and ring gaps after each ride; see the rest of our snaffle bits.
