Product FAQs

How do I measure for a riding helmet?

Measure the circumference of your head at the widest point — about 2cm above your eyebrows and ears. Use a soft tape measure and keep it level. Match your measurement to the size chart above. If between sizes, choose the smaller size — helmets should fit snugly without pressure points.

What safety standards should I look for?

For Australian competition, your helmet should meet EN 1384, ASTM F1163, or AS/NZS 3838 standards. FEI competitions require helmets certified to one of these standards. Check the product description for specific certifications. Virginia Tech STAR ratings provide independent safety testing data.

When should I replace my riding helmet?

Replace your helmet after any impact (even if it looks undamaged), every 5 years from the manufacture date, or if the harness or shell shows any wear. The internal foam compresses over time and loses its protective ability. Never use a helmet that's been in a fall.

Are these helmets approved for EA competitions?

Yes — all helmets we stock meet current EA and FEI competition standards. Check the product description for specific certification details. Helmets must be fastened with the chin strap at all times when mounted.
