Loose ring French mouth Bradoon bit
Sharing the mouth with a curb bit is easier on a bradoon with an ergonomic centre, which is precisely what the French mouth shaping on this Jump'In Loose Ring Bradoon provides. It takes minimal space, joints kindly, and leaves the Weymouth room to do its work.
How it works: Jump'In's French mouth centre links the cannons without pressing the palate - a more ergonomic profile than a single joint, which matters more in a double bridle where two mouthpieces share one mouth. Loose ring cheeks keep the delivery simple and direct, and the design deliberately occupies little space so the curb cannon and tongue both keep their room below.
Why we rate it: the French mouth bradoon is our usual first pick when fitting out a double bridle - the palate relief means one less point of friction in an already complicated arrangement, and horses generally settle on it faster than on a jointed bradoon. In German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel), it will rinse-clean for years. Match it with curb gear from our bridle accessories.
