Full cheek Weymouth sliding bit with port
The full cheek Saumur takes Jump'In's sliding Weymouth concept and gives it long bars: more lever authority than the small cheek Saumur, while keeping the slightly sliding movement that distinguishes the whole range from the fixed Lhotte.
How it works: the cheeks slide progressively as curb pressure gathers, softening the arrival of the lever action even though the long branches give that action more strength when fully engaged. The thin cannons and port sharpen the tongue message relative to larger-cannon versions, in Jump'In's own spec. Used only with its partner bradoon snaffle on a double bridle, or via a double bridle loop.
Why we rate it: we like it for the confirmed double-bridle horse that wants slightly more curb answer than small cheeks provide, without the rigidity of a fixed long-cheek Weymouth. The sliding cheeks are a real feature for horses that brace against dead stillness. Fit the curb chain with care - long cheeks make adjustment errors felt. German silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel). Rinse the slides and port daily. See also our bridle accessories.
