Small cheek Weymouth bit with port
The stainless steel sibling of Jump'In's small cheek ported Weymouth, this fixed Lhotte design suits the double-bridle rider who prefers steel to German silver - a harder-wearing, lower-key metal that shrugs off daily rinse cycles in busy stables.
How it works: the large curved cannon keeps space beneath the bit for the tongue to work, while the modest port holds the centre clear of the sensitive span of the bars. Small cheeks temper the lever effect, so curb-chain action stays civil. Like every Weymouth, it's designed only in a pair with a bradoon snaffle on a double bridle, or with a double bridle loop fitted to a standard bridle.
Why we rate it: functionally it mirrors the German silver version - same fixed, most-classic Lhotte geometry, same tongue accommodation - with the practical steel extras: it shows scratches less and forgives the tack-room treatment a schooling Weymouth receives. Sensible for a second, everyday double-bridle bit. Rinse and dry after each use. Compare across our curb chains and loops.
